When I was a little girl I spent much of my childhood with my grandmother. She taught me many things during my youth, but most of all she nurtured and inspired the artist in me.
We are all familiar with "Life Happens" so for many of my adult years the artist in me stayed buried. But now that I am retired and life moves just a little bit slower, I am able to focus again on my inner artist. My love for nature and my need to get back to a simpler way of life took me to the northwoods of Minnesota. My husband and I now live on 16 beautiful acres in a tiny little cabin sitting right on the banks of the Baptism River. It's my "paradise found" and has once again awakened the artist in me.
I am not a shopper by any means but when I do have a desire to browse the aisles, I am drawn to the little curious shops...I want to see things that are different and unique to the area or something you won't find in a big chain store! My hope is to do just that, I want to bring the art back into design! My pieces are very unique and do not follow the norm. I pride myself on creating pieces that are considered "wearable works of art". They are statement pieces that will get noticed! My pieces speak to those who wish to say to the world... "I am who I am and your approval is not needed"!
As you can probably tell, my grandmother was a great influence in my life. Though she left this earth too soon, she still inspires me and is always by my side. The name "Raven Hart Designs" combines my love for Ravens, a truly extraordinary bird and my love for my grandmother, "Mary Olive Gertrude Hart", a truly extraordinary person. I would not be who I am today without her inspiration and guidance through my childhood years.

When designing a special piece, it is my firm belief that it's never really about the artist but about how we are able to bring your dream to life. I will work with you to translate your idea into a keepsake that is designed specifically for you.
My work is diverse over several mediums. Sterling Silver, Copper, polymer clay, and seed beads to name a few. I take my inspiration from nature and although I identify as a jewelry designer, I always leave my options open to explore where ever the magick will lead me.
I know not everybody wears jewelry so I also have fun creating new and interesting pieces that speak to more than just the jewelry lover! I have Journal covers, embellished wine glasses, bottles, candle holders and much more....
